You probably have all these recipes already but we're just so excited to see that you are having the Food and Wine Fest-(it reminds me of Stellenbosch) and are looking forward to bringing our family and friends.

Crunchies
 
Ingredients:
 
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup flour
2 Tbs golden syrup/honey
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp bicarb
1 cup coconut
 
Mix oats, coconut and sugar, add flour and bicarb sifted together. Melt butter and add syrup. Combine the 2 mixtures and press into greased baking pan.
Bake at 350 degr F for 15-20 mins. Cut into squares and allow to stand 10-15 mins before removing from pan.
