Welcome to the 2014 South African Food & Wine Festival!  As always, we’re looking forward to hosting this amazing event and seeing so many friends from around the world converge on central Virginia for a weekend of great wine, food and music.   We’re excited to share our love of South Africa with you on the 13th & 14th!

Meet winemaker Francois Bezuitenhout from South Africa, Safari guru Rowan Mickleburg of Africa Crossings and listen to live music from Tuelo Minah.  Hang out with a host of performers and SA wine experts all celebrating the launch of festivities for the 9th annual South African Food & Wine Festival at Grayhaven Winery on September 13th & 14th. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Cash bar for wines-by-the-glass will feature South African wines of the festival - with different wines served every half hour.  A selection of South African wines from the festival will be also available for take-home purchase (no tastings). Attire: Cocktail Dressy

Dumisile Martin

Dumisile Nxumalo Martin is the ever-charming host of the festival's Market Tent. Dumisile was born and raised in Manzin, Swaziland. After completing her masters work at Tulane University, she joined the Foreign Service with American husband Bill Martin, serving in posts throughout Africa and India.  After retiring from the Foreign Service, Dumicile and her husband settled in the bucolic, rolling hills of Charlottesville, Virginia.
